Research interests
Most of my research interests are devoted to planetary systems (the Solar System and also the extrasolar systems). In particular I have analyzed the dynamical evolution and the collisional processes involving the minor bodies. The properties of the asteroid Belt (and also of the external Trans-Neptunian Objects), and the related evolutionary models, are not only relevant per se, and in connection to space missions; it is also possible to find footprints of the early stages of formation of the Solar System. I have also studied the so-called "space weathering", i.e. the alteration of the spectral properties of minor bodies due to micrometeoritic bombardment and interaction with the solar wind.
