Hello!! I'm glad you're here!

I'm so happy to see you in person. It may take a little practice to remember how things are done at school and in the classroom, but remember: we're in this together. I am looking forward to getting to know you: your personality, your interests, your likes and dislikes - everything that makes you, you!

English Language Arts 8 (ELA8) is a class that will prepare you for high school. Whether you're coming in to 8th grade with a love or a hate for reading and writing, you will leave here with greater skills and confidence to take to 9th grade. My best advice: try everything that's assigned, and ask as many questions as you need to. Helping you truly makes me happy.

In ELA8 assignments, you will find that you have many opportunities to explore topics of your own choosing and to express your own ideas. Jump out of your fishbowl and do it! Learning to use your true voice not just creatively, but academically, is a reward that will last a lifetime.
