Uninstall your current version of Velux.
Download the correct version from the official Velux website: https://commercial.veluxusa.com/inspiration/daylight-visualizer
Extract the downloaded files before installation.
Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you have a 32-bit system, install the x32 version.
If you have a 64-bit system, install the x64 version.
Avoid installing the Beta version, as it may have compatibility issues.
Open System Settings on your computer.
Scroll down to the About section.
Look for System Type:
If it says 32-bit Operating System, install the x32 version.
If it says 64-bit Operating System, install the x64 version.
Ensure the downloaded Velux installer is in a .zip format.
Right-click the file and select Extract All.
Open the extracted folder and run the correct version of the installer.
Ensure the file is saved as SketchUp 8 (.skp).
If Velux does not recognize the file, try re-exporting it in SketchUp and resaving it.
Check if the file opens in another 3D program to confirm it is not corrupted.
Save the file as OBJ format.
Make sure to UNCHECK "Map Rhino Z to OBJ Y" to prevent import issues.
If the file appears distorted, check the scale settings and adjust if necessary.
Try another computer: If Velux does not work on your device, attempt the installation on a different computer.
Use Lab Computers: If you are a student, consider using lab computers where Velux is pre-installed and configured.Â
Check for Software Conflicts: Ensure no other programs are interfering with Velux installation or file imports.
