About me: Jhansi is a PhD candidate in the department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Michigan. Before graduate school, she worked in the lab of Dr. Christopher Polage evaluating nucleic acid amplification tests for detection of C. difficile.

Her current research interests include the utilization novel models such as human intestinal organoids to study the relative contribution of host factors and bacterial competition in protection from C. difficile infection.

In her spare time she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, traveling with friends, and planning for the day she finally gets a dog.
