Dr. Kovatch's clinical focus is on malignancies of the head and neck, including thyroid cancer, melanoma, and squamous cell carcinoma.

Dr. Kovatch is a current resident in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and completed a T32 research fellowship during his training. He is pursuing advanced training in malignancies of the head and neck, including thyroid cancer, melanoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. With the ThyCARE team, he is studying outcomes following thyroid cancer treatment, including surgical complications and postoperative voice.
