Dr. Chen's clinical practice focuses on general endocrinology, thyroid disorders and thyroid cancer.

Dr. Chen’s research is focused on examining challenges in access to cancer care and across the thyroid cancer care continuum from diagnosis to survivorship. Her work, which highlights asymmetric access to cancer care based on systems-level factors, significantly contributes to the conversation on how to improve cancer care delivery. Dr. Chen’s work has been published in high impact journals, including Lancet, JAMA Surgery, and JAMA Network Open. Dr. Chen’s ultimate goal is to translate her research findings into effective strategies and interventions to optimize cancer care delivery and improve patient outcomes.
