What is I/O Psychology?

I am an Industrial-Organizational (I/O) Psychologist. This field involves the application of psychological principles to the workplace. My recent research focuses on employee selection and recruitment. Specifically, I've been studying the use of Impression Management (self-promotion and ingratiation) in the context of employee selection. I'm also working on a project that examines the development of psychological contracts and the impact of contract violation on organizational attractiveness.

The research on self-promotion that I conduct with Professor McAuslan has been getting some fun media attention. Below are links to blog posts and articles about our research.
