Applications for graduate student as paid assistant or ME 590 (independent study) project) are now open:

1. Using commercial software, create a model of the cochlea incorporating fluid-structure interaction, viscous effects, and electromechanics. Qualifications: Knowledge of commerical codes like Comsol, ANSYS, ABAQUS as well as Matlab. Coursework: taken ME 505 or equivalent.

2. Assistant working on electromechanical experiments of MEMS transducers for auditory prostheses and structural acoustic systems, as well as other coding needs for our group. Qualifications: Experience using National Instruments data acquisition equipment and coding in Labview or Matlab to control the data acquisition system.
