The cumulative frequency plots show the lifetime excess cancer risk for indoor and outdoor VOCs, measured in three communities in Michigan. Cancer risks exceed 1 in 10,000, a high level, in a substantial fraction of homes due to high levels of benzene, naphthalene, and other compounds.
