31 Dec 2023 Taylorsville MetroPark (WEST).  4-5 miles, 2 ½ hours “B”. Take I-75 north from Dayton past I-70. Exit I75 at US40 (exit 63). Travel east on US40 to the dam. Note that US40 turns right (south) onto Brown School Road, and then turns left (east) again. Use entrance at 2000 US40 at the WEST end of the dam. This entrance is on the south (right) side of US40. Meet at the parking lot at the Blue Heron shelter.17 Dec 2023 03 Dec 2023 Charleston Falls Preserve.  4 miles 1 ½ hours “B”.  Meet in the main parking lot at 2535 Ross Road, Tipp City.   

03 Dec 2023 Oakes Quarry/Pearls Fen   4-5 miles 2+ hours “A”. Take I675 North to exit 22. Turn right onto OH-235. Meet in the parking lot at 1267 E. Xenia Dr. Fairborn OH 45324. The entrance is on the left about 400 yards from the I675/OH-235 intersection. 

19 Nov 2023 Twin Creek MetroPark  6-7 miles, 3 hours “D”. Take SR-4 about a mile south of Germantown to Eby Road. Turn left onto Eby road. Use entrance at 9688 Eby Road. Meet in the parking lot.

6-9 miles, 3 hours “D”. Meet in the parking lot of the Visitor Center at 6910 Boomershine Road.

4-5 miles. “A” = EASY, No Hills. Lost Creek Reserve located at 2385 State Rte 41, Troy Ohio 45373. Meet in the last park lot to the right of the entrance.

15 Oct 2023 Caesar Creek State Park

 *****(Start at 10:00 A.M.)*****

12-14 miles 4-5 hours “B”. Take I-75 or 48 or 42 north or south to SR-73. Proceed east over the bridge at Caesar Creek Lake. The first street after the (long) bridge on the right will take you to the parking lot at the 50 Springs picnic area. Park in the first parking lot on the left at the restrooms. Bring a small lunch to carry in a pack.   

1 Oct 2023 Taylorsville MetroPark (EAST). 5 miles 2 hours ”B”. Take I-75 north from Dayton past I-70. Exit at US-40. Travel east on US-40 to the dam. Note that US-40 turns right (south) onto Brown School Road. Cross the dam. Use entrance at 2101 US-40, EAST of the dam. Meet in the parking lot. Hike starts at 1:30 PM.

03 Sep 2023 Carriage Hill MetroPark 5 miles 2 hours “A”. Take Ohio Rt 201 (Brandt Pike) north from Dayton past I70. Turn right at 7891 East Shull Road into the Metropark. Meet at the (Cedar) LAKE Shelter parking lot off East Shull Road. 

20 Aug 2023 Possum Creek MetroPark – 5 miles 2 hours “A”. From Dayton, proceed south along SR-4 (Germantown Road) to Frytown Road. Turn left (east). Proceed to park entrance at 4790 Frytown Road. Meet in the Argonne forest (first STOP sign turn right) parking lot. 

06 Aug 2023 Indian Mound Reserve. 4-5 miles 2 ½ hours “C”. Go east out of Xenia on US-42 to the first park entrance by log cabin on the north side of the road. Meet in the parking lot.

30 Jul 2023 Englewood MetroPark (West Park). 5-6 miles “B” 2 ½ hours. Take SR 48 (North Main Street) north past I70 and north of the Englewood Dam to 100 E. National Road (US 40). Note that US40 actually follows SR48 for a few blocks north of the dam and then turns west again. The park entrance is at the intersection of US 40 and SR 48 at the traffic light. Meet in the parking lot at the end of the (long) driveway east of this intersection.

02 Jul 2023 Sycamore State Park 8 miles 3 hours “B”. Take Diamond Mill Road, north or south to Providence Road.  Meet in the parking lot of the Overlook Picnic Area near restrooms.

18 Jun 2023 John Bryan/Clifton Gorge, 5-6 miles, 3 hours “C”. From the north edge of Yellow Springs, go east on SR343, then south on SR370 to John Bryan State Park. Meet in the first parking lot (on the right) just beyond the park office.

16 Oct 2022 Huffman MetroPark 4-5 miles, 2 hours “A”. Follow Lower Valley Pike, which parallels SR-4. Turn right at the second entrance, 4095 Lower Valley Pike. Meet in the parking lot.  

02 Oct 2022 *****(Start at 10:00 A.M.)***** Caesar Creek State Park 12-14 miles 4-5 hours “B”. Take I-75 or 48 or 42 north or south to SR-73. Proceed east over the bridge at Caesar Creek Lake.
