Built upon a student-centered curriculum and performance-based assessments, the Department of Global Languages and Cultures at the University of Dayton has highly qualified and dedicated faculty ready to help you expand and master your understanding of the Chinese language. Our proficiency-oriented Chinese language program will provide you with extensive language training and in-depth study of Chinese culture and society— and enhance your skills for a future career. Students in our program will learn from guest speakers from industry, government agencies and nonprofit organizations and engage in experiential learning with the local Chinese community.

With the combination of resources and faculty available, the Chinese language program at the University also offers community events and mentored learning experiences to help you take your study of Chinese language and culture beyond the classroom.
