Diane M. Sullivan is a Professor and an NCR Faculty Fellow in Management at the University of Dayton. She completed her Ph.D. in 2006 at the University of Central Florida. Her primary research interests include early-stage entrepreneurial phenomena (e.g., entrepreneurial networks, knowledge, and early venture growth) and gender and entrepreneurship. She has published research in journals such as the Academy of Management Perspectives, Business Horizons, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management Studies, Entrepreneurship, Theory and Practice, Journal of Business and Psychology, Journal of Small Business Management, Journal of Managerial Psychology, Journal of Entrepreneurship Education, and Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, among others. She has also published book chapters related to creativity, entrepreneurship, and leadership and her work has regularly appeared at a number of national and international conferences to include the Academy of Management Conference, the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference, and the Diana International Research Conference. She currently serves as an editorial board member for Entrepreneurship, Theory & Practice and Journal of Business Venturing, and previously served on the board for Journal of Small Business Management. Additionally, she has served as an Executive Officer (Secretary) for the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management from 2016-2019, 2019-2022, and again from 2022-2025. She previously served as the Associate Dean for Faculty Development and DE&I for the School of Business Administration at the University of Dayton.
