Christy Montano

I received my bachelor's in biology at UCLA in 2019, upon graduating, I worked at a histology lab for two years and missed school so much I decided to go back and chose to make Santa Cruz my new home! Today, I am a PhD student in the Carpenter lab, where I study growth suppressor lncRNAs in monocytes. Outside of the lab, I like hanging out with my friends and family, reading, and watching true crime documentaries.
