I grew up in Deepwater, New Jersey and graduated from West Chester University in Pennsylvania with a degree in Early Childhood Education.
After graduating, I taught 2 years of a.m. Kindergarten for the Brandywine School District in Delaware. My afternoons were spent substituting for the Brandywine School District for grades k-6. I began taking graduate classes for my Master’s degree in Elementary Education at West Chester University during this time.
After receiving my Master’s degree, I taught Title 1 Reading in the Great Valley School District for grades 2-4.
During the summer of 1996, I taught summer school with Pre-K children in the Coatesville Area School District. I was hired as a Kindergarten teacher for the Fall of 1996 and taught the “full day / alternate day” Kindergarten program for 6 years.
I started teaching Kindergarten for the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District in the Fall of 2002 at Hillendale Elementary. I came to Pocopson Elementary in 2003. I am extremely happy and proud to work for this outstanding school district.
I continue to take both education and technology courses to keep myself educated in the new trends for education.
I live in Chadds Ford with my husband, Michael, and our three sons. My oldest son, Andrew, graduated in May 2021 from Widener University in Accounting/Finance. He is now working as an accountant in Conshohocken. My middle son, Matthew, graduated in May 2023 from Widener University in Business Finance. He is working for Delaware Diagnostic Labs/Insperity as a Customer Account Representative. My youngest son, Nathan, is a senior at Widener University in Business Finance & Accounting. I enjoy spending time with my family and going to the beach.
