In the Fall 2020 semester at Boston College, I am teaching two sections of Math 1190 (Fundamentals of Mathematics 1), which is a course for students in the Lynch School of Education that takes a deep dive into mathematics taught at the K-8 level. The course is operating in a hybrid mode, and is the first course I have taught which implements a mastery-based grading structure for the portion of the grade determined by mid-semester exams.
Students are directed to Canvas for all course materials. In the event that Canvas is down, however, I will post any immediately pertinent materials here.
Past
During my first two years at BC, I taught one section of Math 1100, three different sections of Math 2202 (Multivariable Calculus), five sections of Math 2216 (Introduction to Abstract Mathematics), an one section of Math 4462 (Topology). I have developed a repository of interactive handouts for the version of Math 2216 that I taught, and am happy to share those and all of my other course materials upon request.
Before that, I taught a wide variety UC Davis courses in my time there, first as a grad student and then as a lecturer, ranging from remedial trigonometry (MAT C) to both parts of the real analysis sequence (MAT 125A and 125B). I also had the fortune of teaching Math 110 (Linear Algebra) at UC Berkeley, using Axler's Linear Algebra Done Right, during the 2017 summer session.
