Analyses are used for verifying numerical and human weather forecasts at stations and on grids. They serve as a climate record over a period of time, and can be used to compute climate statistics and to discern climate trends. Such analyses are separate from those produced by NWP forecast data assimilation systems, although the analysis methods are usually similar.

This section describes these types of analyses, starting with the Real-Time Mesoscale Analysis - Un-Restricted Mesoscale Analysis (RTMA-URMA). As other analyses are developed or come into use operationally, they will be added. Use the navigation menu to the left to view the analyses content. To navigate within the RTMA-URMA document, use the “left arrow/back” key of your browser.
