2019-04 Entries

There were a lot of excellent entries this term, especially games. Matlab Pong, the winner of the Unlimited Category (UC) is a prime example. As with other UC entries, the 2nd and 3rd place entries ticked all the desired boxes but also serve as great examples of new directions for the contest, namely image processing, use of the App Designer, and real-time reading of web content.

In the Limited Category, it was also difficult to choose between Stranded and Planet Wars. Both were excellent entries and the contestants did a terrific job reflecting on their process. Stranded is a simple text-based game that was challenging and fun to play. Planet Wars combined a simulation of multiple planetary orbits with game play. Aversion, in 3rd place, features sound effects.
