The 2017 RCEU Shadowing Program will include students from Huntsville City, Madison City and Madison County local high schools (rising sophomores to seniors), College Academy, Westminster Academy, Randolph School, John Paul II Catholic High school, The Alabama School of Fine Arts, Calhoun Community College and Northeast Alabama Community College.
Shadowing students, please find below more specific information regarding your visit. Notice that not all entries listed under "Projects" are available to you, choose only the ones listed on this page below. Feel free to visit the "Project descriptions" Tab for more information about the project.
You may sign-up for up to three projects, however, we take the freedom to assign you one of those projects based on availability. Typically we can have only one shadowing student with one project. Thanks for your cooperation.

Mandatory information meeting(s) will be held in May at UAH. All students who are selected for the shadowing event must come to the meeting. All participants must sign a “Release of Liability” to confirm their assigned spot. Participants under age 19 must have a parent or legal guardian come to the meeting and sign the release along with a “Minors in Labs” form, which includes insurance information. Participants 19 or older can sign the Release of Liability form themselves and do not need a “Minors in Labs” form.

The program will be held on Thursday, June 8 at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). The schedule will be as follows:
11:30 AM: Park in parking lot of the Conference and Training Center (CTC) and check-in at CTC (#7,see map). Display parking permit.
12:00 PM: Everyone meet at CTC Lobby (inside CTC)
12-1 PM: Complimentary lunch at the CTC or Bevill Center (student researcher will sit with shadowing students)
1:00 PM on: Return to working place, meet sponsor (if possible), brief tour of facilities (if possible), a couple of hours of shadowing the student researcher. Return home.
· Shadowing students must have their own transportation to campus AND to the location of where the shadowing will take place.
· Shadowing students must arrive on campus BEFORE noon at the CTC parking lot. If you arrive by car, you need to use a temporary parking permit. You must check-in and will be issued a one-day parking pass, and you must display it clearly in your car or you may receive a parking ticket.
· After meeting the student you will shadow over a complimentary lunch in the CTC or Bevill Center, the shadowing students will follow the RCEU student to the location of the project.
· Only the shadowing student is allowed to participate. You may not bring parents, siblings, friends, etc.
