Push & Pour

Although I've been here only a couple times, the experiences were so memorable that I felt it couldn't go unmentioned. Push & Pour is a modern and hip little coffee shop located in Garden City, a healthy drive away from downtown Boise.

This place is no short of an atmospheric masterpiece, as it's filled with eccentric decor like hand-painted wall art, neon signs and a bathroom floor made entirely of pennies. If you're looking to park yourself for a while, get some work done in a calm and relaxed space and perhaps, read some Sunday comics- Push & Pour is your place.

Let it also be known that this little spot sits comfortably next to the river. Grab yourself a drink to-go, walk along the Greenbelt and enjoy the view.

Flying M

There wasn't a chance Flying M could go unmentioned, as it's arguably the Boise coffee shop I've visited the most. This is especially why it broke my and Boise's heart to hear that they were closing until further notice.

But why is it such a favorite? Flying M is an incredibly inclusive space with the most friendly and sociable baristas. Not only that but (and I know I'm not the only one when I say this), they serve some of the best coffee drinks and vegan pastries I've ever had. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water.

This place was my home throughout the entirety of my junior and senior year and I already miss it immensely. But I send all the love to the Flying M family and wish them the best of luck on their new, soon to be revealed kitchen remodel.

Hyde Perk

Funny enough, not only did this coffee shop make it on the list but I actually paid it a visit during social distancing, with full intent to write a blog post. They are one of the few joints still offering curbside pickup and to-go orders through a side window. However, due to countless factors, the photos I took weren't ones I was proud of and I felt the experience was not representative of Hyde Perk. So no blog.

Nonetheless, Hyde Perk is far too deserving of at least an honorable mention. A crowd favorite, Hyde Perk is nestled comfortably in the heart of Hyde Park. It has a rustic and country-like interior with plenty of seating and wifi capability to study your heart away. Not only that but they have plenty of options for everyone, drinks, milks, pastries and savory treats alike.

I should just let the mug do the talking- this truly is a happy place.
