Mt. Wrightson Ascent - 9/07/25 - 5.2 miles to the top
Thanks to all who were able to make it out today for the Mt. Wrightson Ascent! We had 28 runners in all and two pooches, including Potato (8 miles) and Bode (full ascent). Some highlights from the run include two separate bear sightings, one just above Josephine Saddle by the early crew, and another on the upper Stretch of Super Trail near Baldy Saddle. There were also several deer, a coati, and a bunch of wildflowers and butterflies. Five runners came back with stories to tell of minor crashes and falls, but all in good spirits. Remmy Pursely, age 10, gets the award for most amazing effort; she's run Mt. Wrightson now two times. There were also two reports of Grumpy Men pleasantries being exchanged.

Thanks to those who came out on a beautiful day, and also thanks for the extra help and aid from Hyo Joo Hyo Jung up at the turn toward Palisades, as well as giving a ride and hanging out at the finish. Above and beyond! Trail conditions were a little overgrown in the middle, but no one got "too" lost! Next year we'll make an even greater effort at getting the whole rout clear, after we rent a helicopter!

Fantastic turnout at this year's TTR Loma Alta run! 21 folks showed up to enjoy the perfect weather (low in the low 50s and high in the low 60s), and beautiful trails. Tales of encounters with rare visitors to the desert landscape, such as creeks and waterfalls, were spoken as the runners kept coming down the Rincons. Those who ran the full route were also rewarded with views of ! Everyone made it back safe, enjoyed the friendly chats at the end, and some also enjoyed the comfy RD chair. Great job to all, thank you for coming out and making this year's Loma Alta another great TTR event. Also, congratulations to Brianna Grigsby for a very speedy run, that set a new women's course record!

Honeybee - 12/21/25 - 21.7 miles
The Honeybee Christmas Eve-Ish run landed on the Winter solstice this year and what started as a slightly cooler morning turned into a fantastic day of running. There were 32 runners out today and a couple of TTR folks nursing injuries who showed up on the dreaded two wheel devices. As usual for the Honeybee run there were a few slight wrong turns, but not major offs. One fall was reported but no major injuries or broken bones.
