Mt. Wrightson Ascent - 9/07/25 - 5.2 miles to the top
Thanks to all who were able to make it out today for the Mt. Wrightson Ascent! We had 28 runners in all and two pooches, including Potato (8 miles) and Bode (full ascent). Some highlights from the run include two separate bear sightings, one just above Josephine Saddle by the early crew, and another on the upper Stretch of Super Trail near Baldy Saddle. There were also several deer, a coati, and a bunch of wildflowers and butterflies. Five runners came back with stories to tell of minor crashes and falls, but all in good spirits. Remmy Pursely, age 10, gets the award for most amazing effort; she's run Mt. Wrightson now two times. There were also two reports of Grumpy Men pleasantries being exchanged.

Box-Ades - 10/26/25 - 25.5 miles
Thanks to those who came out on a beautiful day, and also thanks for the extra help and aid from Hyo Joo Hyo Jung up at the turn toward Palisades, as well as giving a ride and hanging out at the finish. Above and beyond! Trail conditions were a little overgrown in the middle, but no one got "too" lost! Next year we'll make an even greater effort at getting the whole rout clear, after we rent a helicopter!
