2-1-1 Infoline Maintains current listings of all state licensed child care centers and family child care
homes, as well as listings for nanny agencies, nursery schools, play groups and summer camp programs in Connecticut.
There is no charge to parents who call nor is there a charge to child care programs who are listed. 211 can also help with
resources for Husky, WIC, and many other agency referrals.
HUSKY-Infoline is a specialized unit of the United Way of Connecticut that provides information on the HUSKY program to working families, agencies, providers and other interested parties. HUSKY, Healthcare for UninSured Kids and Youth, is Connecticut's state health insurance program.

WIC- Women, Infant & Children
WIC provides specific nutritious foods and nutrition, education to eligible pregnant women, postpartum women up to six months regardless of how pregnancy ends, breastfeeding women up to one year
after delivery, and infants and children up to their fifth birthday.
WIC participants receive monthly checks for the purchase of infant formula, milk, eggs, cheese, juice, peanut butter, legumes, cereal, and much more. Recipients are re-certified every six months to determine if medical or nutritional risk exists.
Recipients receiving WIC benefits in Connecticut must be state residents, but U.S. Citizenship or
permanent residency status is not required.
