Topeka Public Schools provide Chromebooks to students to ensure an equal educational opportunity. Students are responsible for taking care of their Chromebooks and any resulting damages. Chromebooks are District property and must be checked in and out as directed and returned when students leave the school.
To care for and protect your Chromebook:
Store your Chromebook in clean, safe place. Do not leave it on a floor.
Avoid eating and drinking while using your Chromebook as food and beverage can cause costly damage.
Do not leave your Chromebook in an unlocked car.
Do not leave your Chromebook outside.
Do not loan your Chromebook or charger to others.
If you have Chromebook problems, take your Chromebook to the library. If your Chromebook is in repair, you are eligible to borrow a “loaner” until your Chromebook is fixed. If your charger is lost or damaged, replacements are $25. Pay in the business office and bring a receipt to the library for a charger.
