Geometry is the branch of mathematics that deals with points, lines, shapes, and space.
We will look at both plane geometry and solid geometry this year.
Prerequisite:
Algebra 1 (5110) or Algebra 1A/Algebra 1B (5102)
Honors Geometry uses a weighted grading scale and moves at a faster, more rigorous pace than Geometry.
In addition to the topics covered in geometry, Honors Geometry also devotes time to logic development, algebraic and triangle congruence proofs, and trigonometry.
