*** Parent Tips***

Building Good Character in Children: Good character traits are developed through the examples you set, as well as by direct teaching. Here are some suggestions to help your children learn responsibility, self-discipline, individuality, respect, courtesy, and compassion.

Hello, my name is Mrs. Jaclyn Morris and I am starting my sixth year as the school counselor at ATES. I am looking forward to working with the students, faculty/staff, parents and community of Atoka. I taught Physical Education for 9 years before transitioning to school counseling.

I will visit each classroom every other month starting in September. During this time we will discuss various topics. I will also have several small groups that meet through out the school year. The students will be grouped by grade level and the topics discussed will vary to meet the needs of the students being served.

There are a few ways the students can receive services through the counseling office: self referral, teacher referral, or parent/guardian referral.

Students can also receive services through individual sessions.
