Girls Hockey hits the ice

Along with cold weather comes hockey. The hockey season has just begun for many girls who truly love the sport. The girls hockey team travels to many different places to compete for the win. Some are just single games and others are full tournaments that last a full weekend. The girls varsity hockey team has three different goalies. One of them is Haleigh Storbakken. She is a sophomore at MHS and she has played hockey for a very long time. She loves the sport very much and works her hardest to help her team get the W.

So far the Spuds are a bit below the .500 mark, but they have been practicing their hardest to improve their record and start winning. All the members on the girls hockey team have a strong bond and work hard on the ice to defeat the teams they play. They practice almost every day of the week and they have games on many of the weekends.
