During February, it’s usually a busy time. Registrations come in and it can get “crowded and complicated.” In Moorhead High school, students have a deadline for registrations, this time is when it get very busy.

Mr. Hagg says that usually counselors schedules are extremely full, because of the questions students might have for what classes they need. Students schedules is the most difficult task to complete. This process takes all year, and above that for the next year there are days for schedule changes. New students come in, and old students leave. Mr. Hagg also says that this can be the most stressful part of the schedules. Not all students registrate, and some students may be moving. So the stressful part is when everything is done, there are still some people who may want to change classes, or are moving away.

After registrations are in, they usually count how many seats, classes, and teachers there are in the school. That is when they organize how many students go to each class. If there are no more seats or classes, that is when things get complicated, especially if it is a required class. If it is just an exploratory class, the students won’t be able to join it. That is why schedule changes are a good way to give each student the class they would like to stay in.
