Local Government Unit Partner

Municipal Government of San Andres, Catanduanes

The Boss TE Training Center was conceptualized by San Andres Mayor Peter “BOSS TE” Cua and the Sangguniang Bayan in coordination with the TESDA Catanduanes Provincial Office and the Cabugao School of Handicraft and Cottage Industries in September 2013. The objective was to address the lack of opportunities for income generation, which has been a major concern among the unemployed youths and adults. This partnership paved the way for the establishment of the Basic Occupational Skills in support to Technical Education (BOSS TE). A total of 1,999 trainees were trained in the center from October 2014 to April 2018.

Since its inception, the BOSS TE has produced itself as a producer of high quality competent middle-level workforce responsive to the growing demands of the labor market. A total of 1,824 graduated in the 26 training programs offered for the last 3 years of which 632 were employed in self and wage employment.
