In 1994, former Congressman Percival B. Catane played a crucial role as a member of the Committee on Appropriation in securing funding amounting to 3 Million pesos for the construction of a Reinforced Concrete building dedicated to the TESDA Training Center. The late Congressman's efforts paved the way for the realization of this project.
Additionally, Atty. Ernie D. Clarete, the former Mayor of the municipality of Plaridel, generously offered and provided the site for the building project. This site was officially turned over in 1996, marking an important milestone in the progress of the initiative.
Two years later, during Mayor Edilma C. Bulawin's term, a formal Contract of Usufruct was executed on October 20, 1998. This contract granted the Provincial Training Center a land area of 1,095.25 sq. meters, which perfectly accommodated the building floor area.
As the project progressed, an extension building was planned in 2003, necessitating additional land space. Mayor Edilma C. Bulawin once again took action by executing an addendum contract of usufruct, expanding the total area to 2,050 sq. meters.
Recognizing the significance of providing more support to the Provincial Training Center, the Sangguniang Bayan of Plaridel issued Resolution No. 47-2014 on May 12, 2014. This resolution authorized Municipal Mayor Engr. Diego C. Ty to sign a deed of donation for a lot with an area of 2,968 sq. meters in favor of the PTC - Misamis Occidental.
To further solidify the Deed of Donation, on February 8, 2018, Municipal Mayor Engr. Diego C. Ty formally executed the aforementioned document on behalf of the LGU Plaridel - Donor. Acceptance of the donation was confirmed by TESDA Director General, Secretary Guiling A. Mamondiong on behalf of the PTC - Misamis Occidental, reinforcing the commitment to the shared vision of promoting training and development in the region.
