Teach For America Appalachia was founded in 2011 with the purpose of ensuring that more kids have access to a great education, in spite of the persistent challenges of poverty in the region. We serve students and communities across more than 13 districts in Eastern Kentucky and support a broader network of more than 300 alumni across all of Kentucky, West Virginia, southwestern Virginia, and northeastern Tennessee.
