Name: Linda Martin-Seng
I married a man with an infectious laugh! His name is Michael. We have 2 children, Rachel and Ethan, our Border Collie dog named Kiley Pearl crossed the Rainbow Bridge last summer, and each of our children adopted a cat. Our daughter lives on her own and works as a Graphic Artist/Designer, and her cat, Nalah is living with us. Our son moved to an apartment with a friend and is working in for a printing/design company and taking online IT classes. His cat, Pandora lives with him. We rescued a cat last year, so now Magic lives with us...or we live with him. He is a very entertaining cat.
I love photography and have a part-time business doing that. I love taking photos of everything, especially outside! I love all animals, playing women's hockey (although I cannot play anymore due to a neck injury), softball, playing guitar, kayaking, reading, writing, and gardening. I basically love anything outdoors!
I have taught every grade from Kindergarten through 8th grade. I attended Oakland University for a Bachelor's of Science in Business, with minors in Computer Programming, and Spanish. I worked in business for 6 years, then went to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor to obtain my Education Degree with a major in Social Studies and a minor in English. I worked in Willow Run for 11 years teaching a variety of elementary grade levels and helping create a successful multi-age program while working as our building technology specialist. During that time I also took and passed the State test for teaching Spanish and I attended Michigan State during that time to earn my Master's of Arts in Educational Administration. I then found my place in Walled Lake at Geisler Middle School. I continue to thoroughly enjoy teaching children at this age level!
I have enjoyed teaching many Encore and Core subjects in all three grades here, and I look forward to working with your child this year in English and Communication Arts and World Language.

Thank you. Everyone's planning period is from 2-3 this year. I have 3 different teams to meet with for planning during that one hour.
