EXTRA CREDIT has to reflect the skills required for an English class. 

-Reading on your own time and completing an ASSIGNMENT (15 points / book) - see attachment

-REVIEWING any amateur or professional musical, play, concert (vocal or instrumental - not pop, rock, country, hip-hop, etc.), art show, museum, robotics competition, marching band, choir, or forensics event and completing an Extra Credit Form per event.  Ask me if you have an unlisted function you plan to attend and would like credit. These types of events are related to the kinds of skills developed in an English class. Your form responses must be thoughtfully and well written to count.  (10 points / event) - see attachment

-Entering a CONTEST (essay or something academic, not marching band & choir competitions, regional meets, etc.) 

OR completing a SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION. 

You will have to research these opportunities on your own. Bring me copies of the final product  & entry materials when you are ready to send it in so that I can verify your actual entry. This is easily done if you include me in the email submission. 

Proof of entry, not winning, is necessary to earn the points (10 points for entering, 10 points more if you win something).

-Other options may be available for more points, but only if you are trying your hardest, everything is in, AND you are still not doing as well as you would like.
