During these unprecedented times, people are working to make sense of what is happening and how it affects the world in which they live.
Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond is a book that reviews the effects these elements have had on humans and the world. We are seeing another turn in their evolution today. This time, steel influences via artificial intelligence. Read and see if you can apply the book's insights to what is happening today.
While I prefer to teach in person, the risks for my family and me are such that teaching virtually is best. I look forward to this school year and coming to know each of you as we work together to build community and reach another level of knowledge.
