About Me

I have been teaching science for 22 years. I graduated with a Biological Physics Specialist Degree from the University of Toronto. I am very fortunate to teach my two favourite subjects, Biology and Physics, at a secondary school in the Toronto District School Board.

While teaching, I obtained a Master of Education and a PhD in Education, all from the University of Toronto.

As you can tell, I absolutely love learning about science and science education.

I love playing sports. I play on a variety of sports teams, including ice hockey, field lacrosse and curling. Though I love to play, I'd much rather watch and cheer on my own two children (16 and 13 years old).

In my spare time, I enjoy watching sports, and learning more about educational technology.

DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACKUniversity of Toronto has been a place of life-long learning for June Shiraishi and while she has been here fulfilling her love of learning she has also spent some time competing as a Varsity Blue.
