Music By the Lake is a co-curricular program of the Toronto District School Board Music Department and Camp Wahanowin. MBTL provides a music program for grades 6, 7, & 8 in choir, band, stage band, strings, steel pan, and guitar. New programs this year will also include drumming and ukulele. The camp is staffed by teaching faculty made up of TDSB teachers, itinerant music instructors, professional musicians; staff assistants (TDSB secondary school students or university students), conductor’s apprentices (university students); and Wahanowin recreation staff.

This eight day camp operates during the last week of May and is situated at Camp Wahanowin on the shores of Lake Couchiching in the Orillia area. The camp culminates with an on-site student concert and open house on the last day of camp.
