About Me

Here is a little information about myself:

In 1991 I graduated from Youngstown State University (YSU) with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education and Mathematics.  I had the pleasure of being hired full-time to teach Math at the TCTC (formerly the TCJVS) in the fall of 1993.  I have been teaching there ever since.

In 1997 I received my Master's Degree, also from YSU, in Mathematics.  In 2008 I received my National Board Certification in Adolescent and Young Adult Mathematics.  I continue to take classes to further my professional development.

At the TCTC, I am the Academic Challenge coach and teach Pre-Calculus w/ Trig (CCP College Algebra and Trig) and CCP Calculus through Eastern Gateway Community College. Currently, students have iPads to use in all of their classes.  TCTC is an exciting place to work. When the opportunity arises, I sometimes teach Math classes at YSU.

Personally, I have 2 children and a stepson that are all amazing.  I have a great husband that I married in 2005, that is also a Math nerd like me.  I have many cats and one dog. In my free time, I enjoy reading, music, bird watching, and gardening.
