How do I make sure I am not plagiarizing?

Tips from CWA teachers and students:

• Plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time to complete a project. Don't wait until the last minute!

• Use Tarrier Apps and share your project with your teachers from the start!

  • Ask for feedback early and often.

• Use NoodleTools to take notes and generate a bibliography

  • Share your NoodleTools project with Ms. Harris and your teacher - they can give you feedback!

• Close the book, laptop or web page before taking notes

  • Print a copy of an online article to take notes instead of reading it online.

• Have a teacher or classmate proofread your paper.

• Avoid copying and pasting ANYTHING.

• Include citations for all sources in your works cited list AND make sure you have included in-text citations where needed.
