Academic Research for College ARC

ARC General Info:

Research Databases for Primary and Secondary Sources:

  • Look for peer reviewed, scholarly academic journals and other publications that provide strong critical analysis of works by your author, or other information that is supported by strong research and evidence. Avoid articles from general encyclopedias (like Encyclopedia Britannica or Wikipedia). If you get stuck, please ask for help.
  • Use the resources below FIRST.

CWA Library NOTE: Go to the reference section and look in the 800's. There are many encyclopedias of American writers. You may also find an individual book on your author in the 800's section (where you found works by your author).
