This series, Plants&Plenty, will be shown at my solo exhibition in  "Chagall House" Haifa Israel 14-January -11 February 2023. 

During the Corona period, I found myself searching for subjects that were physically close to me. I began painting the rooms of our three daughters, where houseplants and books became central elements.
"Zoom” also played a role, allowing me to ask friends to pose for me through the camera. As soon as the pandemic eased in the Netherlands, I was able to step out of the studio and visit people in their homes and shops. I painted them within their own environments, surrounded by the objects that tell their stories.
This became an ongoing series — one that reflects both the beauty and richness of everyday life. The books and plants are never just objects; each carries its own story, its own presence.
