2. About Mr. Russell

I graduated from the College of Saint Rose with a Bachelors of Science in Music Education. I played trumpet in the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Brass Choir. I also performed in a student-run Brass Quartet consisting of two trumpets and two euphoniums.

I later attended The University of Colorado in Boulder where I majored in Music Education, played trumpet in The University of Colorado Jazz Ensemble I and II, played trumpet in several jazz combos, and minored in music theory. While performing in the groups I performed at the UNC Jazz Festival, the IAJE Conference in Long Beach, CA, and toured California with the big band. I graduated with a Master of Music Education degree.
