Weekly Homework
The following is a standard format that we will follow for homework in our class. In addition to a copy of this schedule, students will bring home a “book in a bag”, and Sight Word lists to keep at home and review on a regular basis.
Write each spelling word 3 times each
Students will complete a review sheet that focuses on a skill we have already worked on in class.
Pick ANY 5 spelling words and put each in a complete sentence.

On Monday’s students will bring their spelling list home. Students will be able to refer to the list at night while completing their homework. If for some reason your child is absent on a Monday, he/she will receive their spelling list upon their return to school.
“Sight Words"
Students will be given sets of sight words. The words will be appropriate for the level your child is currently working on during the literacy block. It is important for you to review those words as often as possible for your child to become a more fluent reader.
***Please keep in mind that the homework is strictly to give your child
practice with their words.
