About Me:
I have been teaching at Taconic Hills for fourteen years. During that time I have taught first and fifth grade as a long-term substitute, as well as second, third grade and fourth grade. After fifteen years teaching elementary school, I decided to make a change and extend my certification to teach high school English. This is my second year teaching English at the high school level.
I graduated from SUNY Albany with a degree in English and a minor in Biological Sciences. I received my teaching certificate from Marist College and my Master’s Degree from SUNY Albany.
A Taconic Hills graduate, I live in Hillsdale with my husband and two children. My daughter is in fifth grade and my son is in sixth grade. We have two dogs, a Russian Tortoise and a leopard Gecko. In addition to teaching, I serve on the Board of Trustees of the Roeliff Jansen Community Library. I enjoy reading, hiking, cooking, boating, and traveling in my “spare” time.
