Friday Letter

Friday Letter

January 12, 2024

The weeks are flying by!

We learned a new grammar skills this week - past and present tense.  First we identify the word as something we can do, then if we are doing it right now, we add an /s/; if we already did it, we add /ed/.  It was tricky at first, but is getting easier the more we practice.

In writing we wrote a creative sentence about a snowman.  Our question was: why did your snowman melt?  We had some great ideas!  We also made a melted snowman to accompany our sentences.

We had fun in math this week as we explored the ‘partners’ for 10.  First we found them by using counters, then cubes, and then a rainbow!  It was a lot of fun!

There is only one date for next week:

Next week we will be learning about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through books and activities as well as finishing some winter projects.

Enjoy the long weekend!

Kindest Regards,

Mrs. Talamo and Mrs. Bornheimer
