b) Identify the differences that can bee see between the events of Jesus’ teachings in the two Gospel passages. A table could be used for the

comparison:

Focus on Luke’s Gospel:

i) What social justice issues does Jesus address to the crowds in Luke’s Gospel?

ii) What are the ‘blessings’ Jesus promises to those who have suffered in this life?

iii) What are the four curses that Jesus pronounces and what will be the ultimate consequence of the curses?

iv) Are these curses relevant to us today? See Matthew 25:31-46; Luke 12:15-20, 48.
