Dear Parents,

I will be your child's English teacher this school year. I will be asking students to read and write on a daily basis. Since I will be spending quality time with them, I would like to take this opportunity to give you a little background about me.

I am excited to say this will be my 27th year as an English teacher at Grove City High School. I received my Bachelor's Degree in English Education at Ohio State University in 1994 and recently received my Master’s Degree through the MAT program at Marygrove College.

I believe in the power of teaching and learning together and the rewards that come from working hard to achieve personal success. Parents and teachers can work together through open lines of communication to provide a strong support system helping students become more independent and responsible through these next few years.

I am looking forward to a school year filled with learning, energizing, and developing a sense of success with your child. I also look forward to working with you throughout the school year. As parents, we are our child's first, and most important, teacher in this world.
