COVID-19 continues to impact our lives as well as nearly all industries globally. Food Service is no exception. Farmers, truckers, packers, manufacturers, distributors, and ultimately many schools will struggle with food item availability.

Our purchasing cooperative is currently working with all segments of the supply chain, across all sectors, regarding food product availability.

What does this mean for our cafeteria offerings?

1. What has historically been listed on the menu may not be available in sufficient quantities to serve our entire student population.

2. Menus may change frequently due to the supply and availability of food items.

3. We will continue to serve balanced and healthy meals in our cafeterias.

2021-2022 School Year Information

Free and Reduced Price Lunch Application

Parents/guardians are still strongly encouraged to complete the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application as there are several district and external benefits that you may qualify for by filling out the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application.

Parents can complete the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application online through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal under the ‘More’ tab at http://portal.swcsd.us. Paper applications are also available in all school buildings and at the Food Services Department. Your child’s application is only good for one school year and the first few days of the start of the next school year. Thus, applications must be completed every year. Free Meal Benefit Extension through School Year 2021-2022:

The United States Department of Agriculture has extended Free Meal Benefits (breakfast and lunch) to ALL students through the end of the 2021-2022 school year. This means that all students can eat one breakfast meal and one lunch meal per day at no cost . Any additional meals and/or a la carte items can be purchased in our kitchens.

Online Food Service Payments

Parents can make school food service payments through their Infinite Campus Parent Portal. The ‘Payments’ tab and tool provides Portal users with the ability to pay fees and deposit food service money online using a major credit card, checking or savings account. This tool eliminates the need to send cash or checks with a student to school and provides parents a simple way to stay on top of school fees and services.

The ‘Food Service’ tab in the Portal allows parents and students access to current account balances, transactions, account history, and account adjustments.
