Here are the required minutes of ENL instruction:

Entering (Level 1) = 360 minutes per week

Emerging = 360 minutes

Transitioning = 180 minutes

Expanding = 180 minutes

Commanding = 180 minutes

Former ELL (2 years ) = 90 minutes

Hello! Welcome to my teacher website. I have been teaching English language skills to our Spackenkill bilingual and multilingual students who require some additional academic language and newcomer support since 2008. Before teaching ENL, I was a high school Spanish teacher and private tutor for many years.

One of my greatest joys is working with the students in Spackenkill. I use a variety of materials to support the development of academic English language skills as well as develop a deeper cultural understanding. Most importantly, I strive to create a positive, supportive environment for each and every student as well as their families.
