Full Time Athletic Trainer
Leipsic High School is seeking a qualified and motivated Full-Time Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive athletic healthcare services for our athletic programs. The athletic trainer will work closely with the student-athletes, coaches, administrators, parents, and healthcare providers to promote the health, safety, and well- being of all participants.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in athletic training or related field
Current Board of Certification (BOC)
Eligible for or currently licensed in the state of Ohio
State/FBI criminal records check
CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services for student athletes
Coordinate and manage care for student injuries
Attend and provide coverage for athletic practices and games
Develop and implement injury prevention programs and emergency action plans
Communicate effectively with coaches, parents/guardians, school administrators, and medical professionals
Assist with concussion management protocols and return-to-play decisions
Ensure compliance with school policies, state regulations, and professional standards
Educate student-athletes on injury prevention, nutrition, hydration, and overall wellness
Other duties may include supervising the media center, lunch period(s) and study halls, coordinating weight training sessions, and monitoring the school’s digital learning program and/or work study program
