The Black Swamp Security Council Summit was created in 2014 by Clay High School Model United Nations (CHSMUN) Alumni as part of a capstone project for the World-Affairs Council of Northwest Ohio's Global Studies Diploma.
The CHSMUN Alumni recognize the best way to improve speech, debate, and writing skills is to have opportunity to engage in Model UN Simulation as often as possible. Therefore, they have created an inexpensive and friendly fall conference to offer schools an opportunity to hone their skills.
The Security Council format was chosen as a less intimidating forum for new delegates. This conference will allow delegates to "get their feet wet" before bigger conferences. The staff is committed to helping delegates learn parliamentary procedure and resolution writing. Questions are welcomed as this is a learning conference.
