If you know me, you know how I LOVE to talk about administering some MUSICAL CPR! What does CPR stand for? Come on shout it out: CREATE, PERFORM, RESPOND (and... CONNECT)! These also happen to be our main four DoDEA K-12 music standards adopted from the National Core Arts Standards and now we've got an easy way to remember them. In music class (and beyond...), my goal is to help each of us in our school community to become artistically literate. This means we'll be using our knowledge, understanding and skills we learn in music class to engage authentically in the arts. We'll sing, move, play, and create all year long together whether we're back in the building learning face to face OR making music together virtually. So, that's musical CPR folks!
Here are all of us specialists during our first Collaboration Day back in August 2020 not much has changed for this school year in August 2021 except for my hair color!
From left to right: Ms. Seetai (ART); Ms. Politi (PE); Ms. Dibella (HN); and Ms. Palm (MUSIC). We work together to plan rigorous instruction and fun for all of our students here at SES!
