2. iPad Advice for Students (Grade 8 to 12)

1. Ensure your iPadOS (software operating system) is up to date. Go to Settings >> General >> Software Update on your iPad to do update.

2. If you notice that your iPad is running slowly or experiencing lag, you can perform a force restart. To do this, press and hold down both the power button and the home button simultaneously. Continue holding them until you see the Apple logo appear and then disappear. Wait for approximately 30 seconds before turning your iPad back on.

3. Only use the iPad charger and cable provided to charge your iPad.

4. Do not change your passcode just before going to sleep.

5. Do not setup your personal email address or icloud account on the school iPad.

6. Install the Miebooks on another device like a cellphone, tablet or laptop. This can serve as a backup in the event your app stops working on your school iPad.

7. Your school email address is also an iCloud account. Go to Settings >> Mail >> Add Account >> iCloud
